Thursday 19th March 2020 - Key Worker Letter

Thursday 19th March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

It would appear that we will not have the list of what constitutes a “key worker” for several hours and we are gradually running out of time to collate the information so that we can organise the child care arrangements.

Therefore, please can I ask you to email if you work in:

  • NHS – stating your role
  • Emergency services – stating your role
  • Education – stating your role
  • Supermarket delivery driver

Please can you also state what work role both parents have if there are 2 adults at home.

It is also important for us to know if you will not want to access child care as you have other arrangements. I am in discussion with local schools as to how we can facilitate this care as a community as our staff are also increasingly not available for work.

At the moment, we are dealing with an unknown number of children so it is important that we start collecting this information as possible. Please respond now if this applies to you.

Later, I will send a letter outlining the support that will be available and how parents of children who are absent from school can access their belongings and home learning packs tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a non- uniform day and Year 6 will be able to have their shirt signing day in case we do not manage to re-open before the summer break.

Best wishes

Claire Harrison
