Thursday 5th November 2020 - Letter from Mrs Harrison

Thursday 5th November 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we are now in the next lockdown, I have been asked to share the latest information from the Government with you. Please see the poster at the bottom of the 5th November letter under ‘Newsletters’.

Over the next couple of days your child will be bringing home a Remote Education pack. This is only to be used if your child has to work from home because of self-isolation, a closed bubble or local extended restrictions mean that school can’t open. The Remote Education Policy can now be found on the website

In other news… I am delighted to say that thanks to you, the PTA raised over £1000 for our Halloween School and family event. Thank you so much to the team for all their hard work and to families for supporting such a fantastic event.

We will be starting to look at how we can keep school feeling Christmassy over the coming weeks to make it special for the children. Our usual activities may be curtailed but we will be creative so watch this space!

Tomorrow is the last day for Miss Day, our Office administrator as she is taking her career in a different direction. I would like to thank Charlotte on behalf of the school for all her hard work since she joined us. I know the PTA particularly wanted to thank her for the work she has done for them and she will be much missed. The good news is that we have appointed Mrs Krissie Bamforth to join our team in the office and are looking forward to her starting with us shortly.

I would also like to thank the Mums who are helping us out a lunchtime. It has resolved a big problem for us and made such a difference. We are still looking for regular help on a Wednesday. If you are able to make that regular commitment going forward (Mums or Dads), please drop us a line. Because of Safeguarding regulations we do require volunteers to have a DBS and complete a volunteer application form but it is not a massive piece of paperwork!

That’s all from me for now. I am off to join the children playing on our new active playgrounds!

Best wishes

Mrs Claire Harrison
