Welcome to Reception!
This is a very special year as children begin their journey through primary school. Our classroom is a place where curiosity, creativity and confidence flourish through play, exploration and exciting first-hand experiences. We spend our days discovering new interests, making new friends and developing the skills that will support learning for years to come.
We are looking forward to sharing our adventures and celebrating the many milestones that make Reception such a magical year.

On Mondays we have our P.E session where we begin by changing into our P.E kits. On Fridays we have our Forest school sessions where we put on our waterproofs and wellies. These provide great opportunities to develop independence, build confidence and learn to organise belongings.

What should I bring to school each day?
What should I leave in school?
Each day we have two snack breaks in the classroom. We provide one afternoon snack of fruit. We have a water fountain and cups which the children can access at any point throughout the day. This provides a brilliant opportunity to develop fine motor skills and consolidate maths learning.
