Year 2
Welcome to Year 2!
This is an important and rewarding year as children continue to grow in confidence, independence and resilience. We work hard, challenge ourselves and take pride in all that we achieve while ensuring that learning remains engaging and enjoyable. Year 2 is full of exciting opportunities to deepen knowledge, develop new skills and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.

Homework Expectations in Year 2:
-Reading at least 3 times a week (reading diaries checked every Thursday and new reading books will be given out)
-Spelling Shed 3 times a week (checked on a Monday)
Children will be awarded 5 DOJO points for the above homework each week (totalling 10 points). Children are welcome to bring in extra homework each day linked to their current learning and they will also be awarded with 5 DOJO points per piece of homework per day (totalling a maximum of 25).
