Fantastic news!!!!  ...  with the money that you have helped raise the PTA have funded the purchase of new school books for all the children in the school. We have also bought a new emergency alarm system to enhance security for the children. This would not have been possible without your support, thank you.

To read more about what the PTA have achieved this year, please see the Annual Report below.

Even though the school holidays are (nearly) here, you can keep raising money to support the PTA over the summer:-

  • If you are buying new labels for children's uniform, please use - and quote code 33124
  • Hopscotch will donate a £1 to the PTA for any new pair of school shoes bought there
  • Consider signing up for our easyfundraising page - and earn money for the PTA whenever you do any online shopping

About the PTA

At Deighton Gates we have a thriving PTA which organises events throughout the year. The events are good fun, a great way to meet other families and raise money for our school.

All the money raised goes towards providing extra educational opportunities and equipment, making Deighton Gates a richer learning environment for our children.

For the benefit of all our children we would love everyone to join in with PTA events, whether it is as an organiser, a helper on the day or turning up to support the events.

With a little help from everyone we can make a big difference.

In 2019/20, we supported school with the upgrade of the IT suite buying 16 new iPads, purchase of new musical instruments, bought school books for all years. We have arranged 3 discos for the children and two fairs (one in Summer and on at Christmas) hopefully bringing a bit of fun for everyone.

In previous years we were also successful in raising funds to purchase a public access defibrillator, located on the wall outside the school office, which is available for the wider community as well as school.   (In the event of an emergency, dial 999, and they will give you the code for the cabinet.  The defibrillator is fully automated - as soon as you open it, it starts talking to you and telling you what to do!).  Finally, we were also able to support school with the purchase of an all weather Fitness Track which was installed over the summer - it's great to see the children making so much use of this already!
