DT: Picnic food project. We can cut, peel or grate ingredients safely and hygienically and we can measure or weigh using scales or cups. Our picnic was delicious!

Thank you to Stagecoach for a fantastic workshop. We learnt some great dance moves and explored ‘hot seating’ ,creating our own characters.

Forest School: Creating ‘Log dogs’.

We enjoyed our first session of Forest School.We worked together to explore the environment and also enjoyed some popcorn cooked on the fire.

Mrs Routledge taught us about Chinese New Year. We loved the dragon.

Computing: We have been developing effective questioning skills by creating and using Binary Trees.

DT: We are very proud of the moving vehicles we have designed and made. We held races to test and evaluate the success of our designs.

DT: We have demonstrated a range of joining techniques to produce a product with wheels.

We have had a fantastic Times Tables Rockstar Day with Year 3&4.

We enjoyed our dance workshop with Lorna from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance

Music: We have been learning to listen to and repeat patterns on body percussion.

Step inside your story: We really enjoyed listening to author Robert Tregoning reading his wonderful story, ‘Out of the blue’. We then put ourselves into our own stories and created flip books.

Art: We have been inspired by Henri Matisse’s black line portraits and have created some of our own. We explored using thick and thin lines in our work.

Art: We have been exploring mixing primary colours to make secondary colours and creating our own colour wheels.

Art: We have be exploring adding white to colours to create tints and then adding black to create darker tones.

Science: We have been working together to sort and classify animals and their offspring.
