Welcome to Deighton Gates Primary School.

Deighton Gates is a vibrant, inclusive community primary school in Wetherby, not too far from York, Harrogate or Leeds. As a team of staff, volunteers and parents we work hard to make sure that every child is happy and achieves their potential. Our results continue to be high but we are a lot more than academic achievement.

We are set in extensive grounds which we actively use to promote children's learning, whilst having lots of fun at the same time. Our fabulous outside learning area boasts the pond and wildlife areas so that we can pond dip and observe extensive wildlife on site. We also have a wooded area for exploring, as well as our traditional play equipment. The orchard and vegetable patch also provide wonderful learning opportunities and we have a thriving Gardening club.

Inside the school we are fortunate to be blessed with a super learning environment. We have state of the art computers and iPads in our refurbished ICT suite, a specialist art and design suite as well as a modern, well loved library . Classrooms are large and airy, each with a dedicated satellite room for extra ICT provision or small group working. Children enjoy the well resourced music room on a regular basis for class lessons or extra curricular tuition.

We have a large group of dedicated, hardworking staff who are very proud of the school and the children's achievements and are always prepared to go the extra mile.
